SPECIAL PROVISIONS
ACCIDENTAL MEDICAL REIMBURSEMENT (AMR)
1. This Special Provision is applied as an independent and optional rider of the Policy, and shall not be effective unless it is included in the application or policy endorsement for the Basic Policy and approved by the Company. If it conflicts with the prior provision, this Special Provision shall prevail.
2. Benefit
When by reason of an Injury sustain while this special provision is in force, the Insured shall pay expenses to a Physician, nurse, Hospital and / or ambulance service incurred within 180 days from the date of the accident, the Company will pay the actual & reasonable expensed to the Insured subject to the sum assured as stated in the application.
The actual expenses shall be in accordance with the charge standard issued by Beijing Health Bureau or its counterpart in the place of the accident.
This benefit shall include the cost of consultation, prescription, surgical fees, ambulance fees, room charges, medicines, X-ray or nursing treatment, and the cost of medical supplies. And the covered expenses should be incurred in the hospital.
The prescriptions must be in accordance with "The Medical Reimbursement Coverage of Beijing Free Medical Services and Labor Medical Insurance" or its counterpart in the place of the accident. If part of or all of the medical expenses can be reimbursed by the government, any other welfare plan or medical expense insurance plan, the Company will only be liable to the excess of the amount paid or recoverable from such other sources.
3. Exclusions and Limitations
This Rider shall not cover any expense caused by any of the following conditions:
(1) dental prosthesis;
(2) refraction error correction;
(3) cosmetic or plastic surgery, and physical treatment;
(4) lumbosacral disc disease;
(5) congenital anomalies / diseases;
(6) the exclusions and limitations provision of Basic Policy applies.
4. Medical Expense Receipt
Upon the reimbursement of the accidental medical expenses, the Company will keep the originals of medical expense receipts of the hospital. If, as required by written application, the Company may give the originals of such receipts back to the claimant after sealing on them the amount already been paid. In case that 100% of the actual medical expenses has already been reimbursed under the Rider, the originals of medical expense receipts will not be given back to the claimant. |
